Movies and their influence

dis blog is basically about the influence of movies in our daily lives... though dis has been a widely discussed one, take a look at ur daily life... pretty much ur lyf revolves around one movie r the other...

let us take a look at ur normal day to day lyf...u wake up and do da daily stuff... stand in front of a mirror wondering abt ur hair style.. wich one u shud set and all... shah rukh or salman style... maybe u gotta trim ur beard like kamal haasan(hey im a south indian:)... and get dressed up....dressing... u wanna be impeccable... like a movie star...of course...

u want da bike from a movie... ohh!!! i forgot dat is to impress ur Girlfriend (love crap and blech....) which is another concept i personally feel would also neva have existed had it not been fer movies... think of the following things...the idea of a perfect match fer u ... da love of ur lyf... and duin stupid stunts to impress her and things like walkin in the middle of road with hands raised in the air... thinking about HER... gosh ....how imaginative can u get... any irrational act by a person primarily because of hormonal imbalances is attributed to love... the 4 magic letters that everyone seems to b talkin about...

its not just dese crazy freaks and all... take a hit at the so called geeks too... dey r mostly dreaming about chaotic theory and stuff like dat... hadnt it been fer a movie like butterfly effect and all no one wud have even dared to talk about the chaotic theory... believe me, its way beyond the league of common man...u wudnt wanna see a research paper on dat topic...wud make u mad...

its cos the sense of questioning is lost when we c a movie or maybe even read a book... remember 'five point someone'...u neva questioned the fact about the machine and stuff like dat... wen a guy asks the professor about machines... the prof says machines r made to make man's work easier... dis einstein asks him if de machines in the gym cud also b called machines as dey only increase our work...well dey do... ever tried jogging around the ground??? hmm... maybe u wud have with and ipod and loud music...now was dat from the movie 'the goal' ?????the fact is dat the things the movies show become the trends and the society functions based on dat..dare to think different ??? u wud b branded a social outcast...

lol....now dunt think too much while readin dis......im not being critical and dont say dat it is wrong to do all dese tings... but sometimes almost every action u do has somehow been emotionally influenced by movies...
and to conclude... i quote from the movie matrix revolutions [:)] all dese are merely 'illusions...vagaries of perception...temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence dat is without any meaning or purpose...'
(everyting has got movies mixed in it... so why not my blog's conclusion????)

but den doin all dese tings is what essentially makes us human.....right???

Culture

Some first things u shud kno abt me... im an Indian.. and this concept of culture is a very ardent topic of discussion in the Indian scenario .....
People talk all the time about our Golden Culture and about how once upon a time we had a rich culture and today our culture is being spoilt by the youth and such crap.....lolz...But lemme tell ya 1 ting. Culture by itself was formed by a single or a group of persons, and according to them whatever dey felt was rite dey passed it down to their children...so in fact it is nothing but the ideals of someone that we are following... that is we are following thoughts of some random ancestor who suddenly decided that one day he would start something.... centuries later when another young individual decides to do something that has not been done by his parents, but has been done in some other country (unfortunately) he is classified as aping their culture and violating our culture that has been passed on to us for generations... but enough of the discussion on individualism...
i would like to pose a question to all dose so called protectors of our culture... why don't we still follow the ancient practices of child marriage and sati?? that is just basically because our Government forbids it... so at this point i would like to propose a definition of culture: it just is nothing but that which has been done by your parents in THEIR times and that which they expect us to follow in OUR times, all under the watchful supervision of a government that pretty much changes your culture the way it deems fit ....
but speaking as a matter of fact sati and child marriage were common in those times, women would be unable to live in a society without their husband in those times... but today the society is not so narrow minded anymore... in other words the whole world is changing so we cannot expect to get a hold on our so called culture... frankly ,  our Indian culture itself has been shaped and metamorphosed by events in history..... so culture by itself has no real shape and is pretty much shaped by us... so if we decide to change it rapidly to keep up with the west then that will become our culture not that which our parents have taught us... so to conclude and sum it up, culture has no real depth, but it is upto us whether to follow it or not, but we cannot hope to adopt something that is not ours without having the proper mindset that is required...
i really feel i should mention this probably offensive example...i have seen many girls wearing pretty revealing dresses but when guys look at them they start covering up...i don't really understand the point of it all... u see a chick on mtv wearing such an attire she is ready to flaunt herself off before the world and so she can wear it.... but if u do not have the guts to walk that way in public then you probably should not hope to wear the same revealing dresses... this is a proper mixup of not knowing what to do, not knowing which culture to follow... u wanna dress like an american, den u better be prepared to get a lot of ogles.... else u better get back to wearing what you are comfortable with.... in other words u can STICK to your culture....

The phenomenon of rebirth and soul

i have always been told that u do gud things in dis life, then u wud get to be a human being in your next life.... like when i stamped an ant den i used to hear stuff like "u r gonna b an ant in the next life and u wud get stamped by the ant in the same way...." to wich i always replied that then we would get caught in a warp and perhaps i already was stuck in one and that is why i was stamping it probably....
:slap :end of discussion,
go to room and study......
just think of it rebirth is not what they show u in om shanti om.... like when the baby comes out and srk dies... u do probably realize that the baby in there was alive and the "SOUL" was not transferred after it came out... so when exactly did dis soul thing go into him??? u c a baby is formed from the semen of man which again is living and is from inside the man... so the soul cannot enter anything from anywhere...so there cannot be something such as rebirth....

The generation gap

Note : im from india and dis whole blog would pretty well be about indian society and everything associated wit it...
Ppl have always been talking about the generation of today and how it is aping the western culture... about how youngsters are following the western culture blindly... but come to think of it... the so called adults of today are no different... it is these adults who start copying things blindly from the west... all rite... the dresses worn by the youth of today are just a blind lift off.... but the very basic framework of our society is by itself not very unique... the constitution of india adopted the british constitution and also the british parliamentary system, british legal system and principles of administration... and also laws introduced by the british raj during their tenure of rampage in India... but this was only to be expected... so this may not be a very valid argument... so coming on to other things...
as i was saying... the dresses worn by youth of today may be ripoffs... not just literally... but take the case of an employee in the government... why the hell is he supposed to wear a coat to work??? the brits had it...cos it was cold in their country... try wearing a dhoti in britain... god knows which part of your body may freeze... but ours is a tropical country... we cant just straight away ask people to wear those uniforms... that is so inhuman... and im not saying that people must only wear dhotis to work... dey must b given more choice... certainly the youth of today did not ask dem to wear those coats...
its not the youth that built the cinema industry as it is today... and dey certainly did not name it as 'bollywood'... 'kollywood' or 'tollywood'... and indian idol ??? cudn't dey come up wit another name... did it have to be like american idol...which by itself was a ripoff from pop idol... big boss from big brother ... and i cud go on and on..the worst was indian idol btw...wen u rip it off... u cud at least get a new logo... aren't these ripoffs ??? don't they come under that category ??? the youth of today didn't do that...
not only that... the recent fuss is about swine flu...well of course its a pandemic and all that... but certainly its not something that should b bothering us indians... i mean statistics say that around 550 people die every day in india due to common flu... and swine flu (as of now) has not even taken a 100.... the ting may b that it is in cities that it is attacking ... but still what im saying is that there r many more tings to be afraid of... and just because america doesn't have 550 people a day dying of flu..swine flu was regarded a mass killer... but shat s not the case in india... when all these r in no way were started by the youth of today... what about f1 races and all??? force india was finally recognized in the world and so we are gonna have a race track by 2011.... hell... america has lots of reserves of crude oil... and it has a hold on iraq and afghanistan... it can afford to do all these... not india which does not have much oil to supplement itself...
why the hell does everyone keep blaming the youth of being blind when they themselves r not so very different???

The concept of religion and god

the concept of "god" and religion came into existence only cos common man did not commit any crime for the fear of someone or something supernatural that would punish him if he did commit any crime or mistake... so ticktocking backwards in time to a time when humans had just evolved and begun to think there had to b someone who had to lead a group.. it wuz usually the strongest, wisest, or eldest who was chosen leader... and of course he didnt have the answers to evrytin... supernatural phenomena like thunder and lightning(lolzzz!!!) were believed to b a an emotion r reaction of, let us say (hmmm) , god. so then and wat of da ppl??? dey were all powerless bfore him... now dis concept of god was not very harmful until some wise guy found out he cud exploit da "powerless"... hence the birth of religion... with some humans exploiting the others...
But then if u c, without a religion, civilization goes haywire... the law cannot stop people from doing things what they wish to... so in short, religion must b followed but it is not necessary to take a lot of time out f ya life just fer religion and prayer...

The survival of the fittest and the problem of population

The theory of origin of species and the survival of the fittest can be considered as one of the gr8est theories practically in use today... One may think that this theory is valid only fer animals... well then tink again , it applies to every human in every aspect of life... the main things fer survival are food and shelter... animals fight for dese and also for the mates... now ten wat xactly is da difference btw us and da animals???? the fact dat v r more civilised and dat our fights take place at a much higher and advanced level... dey fight till death.. yeah sometimes we 2 do dat ;-)... now take fer xample da issue of mates... every human dresses and shows off in order to attract a mate of da opposite gender... da opposite gender (hey... dis s usually da female!!!!!!!) obviously choose da one wit more pomp and show r wit watever dey like in dem.. well then the survival of the fittest.. here survival is not in da literal sense... but den dis applies to all aspects... take fer xample an entrance xam fer a school or a university... or a job... r even while buying a house...(obvi 1 wit more money and gets da house and 1 wit better job gets more money...)... now da main aspect is not dis... dis means dat the fittest will only survive and since the human pop is abt 6 billion and increasin by da time i finish writing dis... so cud dis mean dat cos of such a large amt of pop.. nature, to restore da balance will lead to a series of catastrophes to reduce da pop of humans???? and even if nature does not take any such pains.. will da humans demselves dig der own grave ??? in another 30 years da fossil fuels will begin depleting, den wat will da countries wit fossil fuels do??? still export??? no obviously not... so can u b sure dat da other coubtries will not try to snatch t from dem???? so how sure can u b dat der will not b a fight for da limited resources wich will turn into a war????
So den wat xactly is da prob???? i wud say population is da main prob ova here... so den wat xactly is da main solution???? if we dont arrive at a solution real fast den we wud have arrived at an apocalyptic solution very soon... everyone will have 2 tink abt how 2 raise der own child bfore havin 1.... 2 hands to help also means a hungry mouth to feed...

The right and the wrong

Frst of all...
If u tink what is wrong is wrong whether it is done unknowingly or not , den continue reading...
I have heard of theory called the chaos theory acc. to which " Small variations of the initial condition of a dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system". (oh brother!!!!). In other words each and every action of urs cud have a variation in a system somewhere , now what cud dis system be??? it cud b a tornado or a hurricane which is developing or it cud b simply just anytin in da world including your bowl of morning soup or porridge... so wat happens wen u suddenly move ur hand and the tornado starts all of a sudden??? Does dat mean u r responsible fer the deaths of thousands of ppl???? So does that mean u have committed smthng wrong??? So maybe the next time u even move da mouse a thousand cud die at ur hand... and it wud never have happened had u never touched da mouse...(lolz....) so have u done smthng wrong??? Now I'm not saying that it is necessary dat this cud happen , but then it does not have a zero probability... so does this mean dere s nthng as rite r wrong in dis world??? Now this s just fer ya 2 tink... have fun....
